TigerSwan’s Support for the Global Traveler

In today’s global travel environment that offers the opportunity to travel to several countries in one day safety and security should be of the greatest concern. However, both seasoned and unexperienced global travelers may find themselves unexpectedly exposed to a multitude of safety and security concerns throughout their journey. TigerSwan’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) provides critical services to ensure that global travelers, no matter their experience, are fully informed and equipped with travel safety knowledge and our proprietary Hawkeye technology to mitigate risk and enhance personal safety. Additionally, our Hawkeye technology not only allows for location monitoring to report of events that may affect the safety of the traveler, but also provides direct communication to the TigerSwan GSOC via phone, chat or a SOS alert button for immediate GSOC response and support for any travel-related event.
In 2021 one of our largest commercial clients requested travel support for a group of executives heading to Brazil for a corporate summit meeting. The TigerSwan GSOC was responsible for pre-trip support in the form of providing specifically tailored travel safety report to each client representative, guiding them through the U.S. Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP), provisioning them with our proprietary location monitoring and communication phone apps and ensuring each traveler understood how to use the technology. During the course of the corporate summit one of the executives decided to go sightseeing at night, alone and directly in an area outlined as “high risk” in the pre-trip safety and security assessment provided to each traveler. This individual was subsequently a victim of a robbery and serious physical assault that left him injured and disoriented. Luckily the individual’s phone was not taken and he had the presence of mind to hit the SOS button on this Hawkeye mobile phone app. Immediately a member of the GSOC staff was in communication with the individual in a video call through the Hawkeye app and was apple to ascertain the seriousness of the situation, call them individual and begin initiating the clients’ tailored pre-planned response for such an event. During this response plan the individual’s supervisor was notified and local police and paramedic support was coordinated to render assistance to the individual in a very timely manner. Without the support of the GSOC this situation could have resulted in an unnecessarily more serious or even deadly event.
